The story of this iconic family business began in 1902, when Giacomo Tommasi acquired a small vineyard near Pedemonte, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica area in the province of Verona. Since then, his vision has permeated every aspect of the company's development, from the creation of great wines to their marketing.
The close ties between the Tommasi heirs and their land and markets have refined their entrepreneurial vision without losing their respect and love for the traditions and unique qualities of their terroirs. Over time, they have managed to pRéserver their heritage while adopting modern viticultural practices.
Today, the Tommasi family is recognized worldwide for the quality of its wines, which faithfully reflect the unique terroir of Valpolicella. The fourth generation, now at the helm, owns over 800 hectares of vineyards in Italy's most prestigious regions.
The Tommasi Viticoltori vineyard is one of them. Located in different areas of the province of Verona, it owns parcels in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, Valpantena, Lugana and other denominations. Some of their emblematic terroirs, such as La Groletta, Ca'Florian, Rafaèl and Conca d'Oro, are the source of prestigious wines like Amarone and Ripasso, which illustrate the Tommasi family's know-how and passion for viticulture and the production of excellent wines of international renown.
