Located in the heart of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, Château Lilian Ladouys is a leading name on Bordeaux’s Left Bank. Designated a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, the wine estate is renowned for its generous, indulgent wines of great finesse, which perfectly blend the characteristic power of the Saint-Estèphe terroir with vibrant fruit and velvety tannins. The history of Château Lilian Ladouys dates back to the 16th century, when the estate was already a renowned wine-producing estate in the Médoc. It was in 1989 that the château took on its current name, under the leadership of Christian and Lilian Thiéblot. A decisive new chapter began in 2008 with the Lorenzetti family’s acquisition of the wine estate (the Lorenzettis also own Château Pédesclaux in Pauillac and are co-owners of Château d’Issan in Margaux). Thanks to significant investments, the restructuring of the vineyard, and the construction of a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly winery, the estate has elevated its wines to the pinnacle of its appellation.

The vineyards of Château Lilian Ladouys span nearly 80 hectares, spread across a mosaic of exceptional terroirs composed of Garonne gravel resting on calcareous-clay soils. This geological diversity gives the wines a remarkable balance between structure, freshness, and power. The vineyard is predominantly planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, complemented by a touch of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, with each variety contributing its own complexity to the final blend.

True to its environmental commitments, the wine estate is managed using organic farming methods (certification has been gradually obtained for its recent vintages). In the cellar, the work is carried out with the precision of a master craftsman: rigorous plot-by-plot selections, gentle, gravity-fed winemaking, followed by tailored ageing in French oak barrels (about one-third of which are new) to reveal the fruit without ever masking it.

Vintage after vintage, Château Lilian Ladouys captivates with the consistency and richness of its cuvées. The wines are distinguished by a deep color, a rich nose of black fruits, spicy notes, and forest floor aromas, as well as a full-bodied palate enveloped by silky, perfectly integrated tannins.
