Vintage Château Mangot strives to reveal the right interpretation of its terroir to sign authentic, sincere wines that reflect the place where they were born.
The attention, love and meticulousness brought to our vineyard has enabled Château Mangot to be promoted among the Grands Crus Classés of Saint-Emilion.
From a single vineyard, nestled between clay-limestone slopes and an asteriated limestone plateau, this Château Mangot 2024 embodies pure elegance and tamed power. In a demanding vintage, Domaine is a wine of remarkable precision, supported by committed viticultural choices: organic farming, biodynamics, phytotherapy and natural weeding.
From the very first nose, a vibrant freshness asserts itself. Bright red fruits (cherry, raspberry) meet deeper notes of blackberry, violet and warm stone.
Delicate hints of lime blossom, licorice and smoke follow, reflecting a multi-faceted ageing process combining new barrels, one-wine barrels, foudres and amphoras.
On the palate, the feel is superb: silky yet structured, with just the right amount of acidity (pH 3.45) to energize the whole without hardening it. Cabernet Sauvignon (64%) provides the backbone, Cabernet Franc (34%) plays on aromatic finesse, while Merlot (just 2%) ensures discreet roundness. The structure is straightforward, the energy intact, and the long, saline finish reveals a floral, chalky complexity that makes this a wine for laying down.
Gently vinified, with pre-fermentation cold maceration and 35 days of vatting, this 2024 combines concentration and grace.
It offers a fine balance between respect for the fruit, mineral tension and perfectly integrated ageing. With its 13.2% alcohol and natural depth, it's a racy, sincere and, above all, lively wine.
