The history of Armagnac Delord began in 1893, when Prosper Delord, an itinerant distiller, transformed white wine into Armagnac as he toured the region's farms.
In 1932, his sons Gaston and Georges founded Maison Armagnac Delord Frères in Lannepax, and gradually developed exports to the United States. Gaston's son Jacques took over in 1963, joined ten years later by his brother Pierre. In 2001, the fourth generation, represented by Sylvain and Jérôme, ensured continuity: one devoted himself to making Armagnacs, the other to promoting them.
In 2020, they bought the family-owned Domaine de Galaubas, a 75-hectare terroir, including 6 hectares of organic farming.
The vineyard, located in Lannepax, is planted with the four traditional Armagnac grape varieties: Ugni-blanc, CoLombard, Folle-blanche and Baco. The grapes are harvested and vinified on site, under the supervision of Sylvain Delord, to guarantee aromatic wines suitable for distillation.

Founded in 1893 by Prosper Delord, distiller and cellar master, Maison Delord embodies the excellence and tradition of Armagnac, passed down from generation to generation. The 1982 vintage, the result of this family expertise, is an exceptional Armagnac where every detail has been carefully considered to offer an unforgettable tasting experience.
In its magnificent amber-colored bottle with caramel-colored highlights, it opens in the glass with a relatively complex first nose. Notes of dried flowers, nutmeg, and hazelnut are accompanied by more fruity fragrances. In the aromatic background, notes of cedar and licorice can be detected, bringing freshness and depth to this superb nose. The palate is equally impressive, very silky on the attack, followed by roundness and smoothness. The spices are more pronounced than on the nose and are accompanied by well-integrated woody aromas. The finish pleasantly prolongs the tasting experience with notes of licorice.
This refined, complex and balanced 1982 Delord will delight lovers of Bas-Armagnac, where time has allowed the whole to blend to perfection.
