The history of Armagnac Delord began in 1893, when Prosper Delord, an itinerant distiller, transformed white wine into Armagnac as he toured the region's farms.
In 1932, his sons Gaston and Georges founded Maison Armagnac Delord Frères in Lannepax, and gradually developed exports to the United States. Gaston's son Jacques took over in 1963, joined ten years later by his brother Pierre. In 2001, the fourth generation, represented by Sylvain and Jérôme, ensured continuity: one devoted himself to making Armagnacs, the other to promoting them.
In 2020, they bought the family-owned Domaine de Galaubas, a 75-hectare terroir, including 6 hectares of organic farming.
The vineyard, located in Lannepax, is planted with the four traditional Armagnac grape varieties: Ugni-blanc, CoLombard, Folle-blanche and Baco. The grapes are harvested and vinified on site, under the supervision of Sylvain Delord, to guarantee aromatic wines suitable for distillation.

Produced from a 1992 harvest in the Bas-Armagnac region, this Delord vintage is a bold yet refined expression of Gascon eau-de-vie. Distilled and then aged in oak barrels, its color, nose, and palate reveal controlled aging, while retaining a beautiful aromatic liveliness. This Armagnac seems to combine character and elegance.
With its magnificent amber color, this nectar reveals an incredibly rich nose. Initially, there are aromas of candied mirabelle plum, baked apple, and dried apricot. After a few minutes, notes of coffee, walnut, and a hint of leather emerge. A subtle woodiness underscores the whole with finesse and delicacy. On the palate, the tasting begins with a relatively supple and silky attack. Well-structured, it allows the fruit aromas to develop gently. Added to this are notes of roasting mixed with a woody sweetness. The finish, with its beautiful length, prolongs the tasting with notes of vanilla.
This 1992 Delord has all the qualities of a well-aged Bas-Armagnac: noble wood and aromatic depth. It is particularly suitable for connoisseurs looking for a serene, rich but controlled tasting experience.
