The history of Armagnac Delord began in 1893, when Prosper Delord, an itinerant distiller, transformed white wine into Armagnac as he toured the region's farms.
In 1932, his sons Gaston and Georges founded Maison Armagnac Delord Frères in Lannepax, and gradually developed exports to the United States. Gaston's son Jacques took over in 1963, joined ten years later by his brother Pierre. In 2001, the fourth generation, represented by Sylvain and Jérôme, ensured continuity: one devoted himself to making Armagnacs, the other to promoting them.
In 2020, they bought the family-owned Domaine de Galaubas, a 75-hectare terroir, including 6 hectares of organic farming.
The vineyard, located in Lannepax, is planted with the four traditional Armagnac grape varieties: Ugni-blanc, CoLombard, Folle-blanche and Baco. The grapes are harvested and vinified on site, under the supervision of Sylvain Delord, to guarantee aromatic wines suitable for distillation.

Founded in 1893 and located in the heart of Bas-Armagnac, Maison Delord has embodied family passion and tradition for over a century. It perpetuates artisanal expertise passed down from generation to generation: slow distillation in pot stills, rigorous selection of eaux-de-vie, and patient aging in oak barrels. The 1995 vintage perfectly illustrates this philosophy: a distinguished, balanced eau-de-vie imbued with timeless charm.
Delord 1995 presents itself with a brilliant, clear amber color with golden and coppery highlights. The nose opens with warm notes of dried fruit and prunes, quickly joined by scents of candied orange peel, vanilla, and light caramel. When aerated, it reveals a tertiary complexity with notes of wood, beeswax, and sweet spices. On the palate, the attack is full and velvety, revealing a caressing texture. Fruit dominates at first, with dried apricot and plum, before giving way to more spicy and vanilla nuances. The balance between sweetness, wood and freshness is remarkable. The alcohol is perfectly integrated, offering a sensation of controlled and refined warmth. The finish is long and harmonious, lingering on notes of honey, candied fruit and light rancio. It leaves an impression of nobility and serenity, typical of great mature Bas-Armagnacs.
This Delord 95 is an Armagnac of balance and finesse, expressing all the mastery of the Delord house. Both rich and racy, it combines the richness of fruit and the subtlety of wood in a sincere expression of the Gascon terroir.
