The history of Armagnac Delord began in 1893, when Prosper Delord, an itinerant distiller, transformed white wine into Armagnac as he toured the region's farms.

In 1932, his sons Gaston and Georges founded Maison Armagnac Delord Frères in Lannepax, and gradually developed exports to the United States. Gaston's son Jacques took over in 1963, joined ten years later by his brother Pierre. In 2001, the fourth generation, represented by Sylvain and Jérôme, ensured continuity: one devoted himself to making Armagnacs, the other to promoting them.

In 2020, they bought the family-owned Domaine de Galaubas, a 75-hectare terroir, including 6 hectares of organic farming.

The vineyard, located in Lannepax, is planted with the four traditional Armagnac grape varieties: Ugni-blanc, CoLombard, Folle-blanche and Baco. The grapes are harvested and vinified on site, under the supervision of Sylvain Delord, to guarantee aromatic wines suitable for distillation.

Maison Delord is one of the Rares to practice both distillation methods: continuous distillation, ideal for older Armagnacs, and double toasting, which produces fruitier eaux-de-vie for younger Armagnacs. The... See more ...

Description Delord l'Authentique Brut de Fût.

Delord l'Authentique Brut de Fût is a blend of Armagnacs Rares, resulting from the careful selection of emblematic casks representing the most typical vintages of the Maison Delord.

This Bas-Armagnac, with an average age of 30 years, offers remarkable complexity, combining vanilla, wood and roasted notes with aromas of prunes, nuts and Secs fruit.

Made from Ugni blanc, CoLombard, Baco and Folle Blanche grapes, it benefits from traditional vinification that pRéserve a rich aromatic profile with controlled acidity and low natural alcohol content.

Continuous distillation takes place in column stills equipped with spider-leg plates, guaranteeing finesse and aromatic precision.

Aging begins in new French oak barrels (strong toasting), before maturation in semi-exhausted or exhausted barrels, revealing the full depth and complexity of this Armagnac.

With an alcohol content of 45.9% vol., it is distinguished by its balanced power and aromatic elegance, offering an intense and refined tasting experience, ideal for lovers of exceptional Armagnacs.

The care we take when receiving wines in our cellars enables us to detect bottles with imperfections (dirty or faded labels, damaged capsules, etc.). In such cases, they are systematically set aside and never put online! Our preparation team selects only bottles with perfect presentation for your orders!

It is these bottles with slight external defects that we present to you in the "Existe en imparfaite" selection. These bottles are, of course, of "irreproachable" gustatory quality, but suffer from slight defects on the label or cap. We therefore offer them at a preferential price, making the pleasure of tasting them even more affordable.
