Located in the heart of the prestigious Côte des blancs, Maison Waris-Hubert is the fruit of a long family tradition, today represented by Stéphanie and Olivier Waris, the fourth generation of winemakers.
Based in Avize, village Grand Cru, the Waris-Hubert family carefully cultivates exceptional terroirs, including the Grands Crus of Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Oger, Aÿ, as well as the Premiers Crus of Grauves and Bisseuil. These clay-limestone soils are enhanced by meticulous working methods, including horse-drawn ploughing on their plots Grand Cru, demonstrating a deep respect for the environment.
Stéphanie and Olivier, who began developing their own vineyard in 1997, continue their quest for excellence by producing low dosage Champagnes, highlighting the purity, minerality and finesse of their terroirs. The first bottles were released in 2001, marking the beginning of a new era for the family. With each cuvée, the precision of work carried out by Maison Waris-Hubert translates into elegant, refined Champagnes, combining minerality and floral aromas.

Of all the cuvées produced by Waris-Hubert, Blanc de blancs Grand Cru Albescent embodies the quintessential expertise of the Champagne estate. 100% Chardonnay, this Champagne comes from the prestigious terroirs of Avize, Oger and Cramant, whose clay-limestone soils give the 40-year-old vines here a rich, complex expression.
This Champagne Brut, with a dosage of 6.1 g/l, boasts a straw-gold color with green highlights, and a fine, persistent effervescence.
On the nose, it reveals aromas of white flowers, such as acacia and vine flower, followed by notes of citrus, barley sugar, ripe wheat and almonds. A subtle hint of menthol, the signature of Champagnes Waris-Hubert, completes this aromatic palette.
On the palate, the attack is round and fruity, bringing a lovely freshness that persists into an elegant finish.
Cuvée Albescent goes perfectly with fish carpaccio, truffled risotto or lemon almond tuiles.
