J.M Goulard

The Champagne J.M Goulard embodies an exciting family history, a deep-rooted winemaking tradition and an unwavering devotion to quality and craftsmanship. Founded by the Goulard family, this Champagne house located in the picturesque Vallée de la Marne region of Champagne, is the fruit of a rich heritage and an ongoing quest for excellence.

The family's history dates back several generations, when Jean-Marie Goulard laid the foundations for what would become an iconic Champagne house. This history is marked by a deep passion for terroir, vines and Champagne tradition.

Terroir is the backbone of its exceptional Champagnes. Vineyards stretch across the steep hills of the Vallée de la Marne, a prime location for growing the region's emblematic grape varieties: Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The clay-limestone soils characteristic of Vallée de la Marne give the grapes a unique expression and optimal ripeness.

The grape varieties reflect the diversity of Champagne. Grape varieties are planted with care, taking into account the particularities of each plot and each grape variety, to create balanced and expressive cuvées.

Description J.M. Goulard Origine Blanc de Noirs.

Cuvée J.M. Goulard Origine Blanc de noirs Brut, a blend of 55% Pinot Meunier and 45% Pinot Noir, highlights the exceptional terroir of the Massif de Saint-Thierry, near Reims. Environmentally-friendly viticulture is accompanied by partial aging (50%) in oak barrels, bringing richness and complexity to the wine. After 24 months' ageing on lees, the wine is blended at 4 g/l (Extra-Brut), offering a lively, elegant structure.

The nose reveals gourmet aromas of raspberry jam, white flowers and candied orange. On the palate, the attack is both fresh and delicate, evolving towards flavors of peach and mango, balanced by well-integrated acidity. The finish is fine, silky and persistent, leaving a lasting impression of freshness.

This Champagne is a perfect match for roasted salmon sushi, a foie gras terrine lightly perfumed with honey, or grilled vegetables with rosemary and garlic, offering a refined and surprising gastronomic experience. The wine's freshness and complexity create an elegant contrast with the rich, subtle flavors of these dishes, while its well-integrated acidity perfectly balances textures and aromas.
