THE VINEYARD

AREA: 9 hectares

SOILS: Sandy gravel on a clay subsoil containing iron dross

SITUATION: On the western slope of the famous Pomerol plateau, extending over three terraces of the appellation

AVERAGE AGE OF VINEYARDS: 40 years

VINIFICATION AND AGEING

HARVEST: September 7 to September 20, 2023

TANKS: Thermo-regulated cement and small-capacity stainless steel tanks

VINIFICATION TIME: 30 days

AGEING: 16 months

BARRELS: 35% new, 35% one-year-old barrels and 30% concrete vats

TASTING

Château L'Enclos 2023 reveals a beautiful ruby color. The nose presents lovely aromas of wild berries, evolving with agitation towards slightly spicy, fresh notes that may recall a stick of licorice. The palate reveals a dynamic attack with raspberry aromas. The mid-palate is smooth and juicy, with subtle spicy notes.
