The blend, very typical of the wine estate, is based primarily on Cabernet Sauvignon (86%), complemented by Merlot (12%) and a touch of Cabernet Franc (2%). This high proportion of Cabernet gives the wine its signature structured, straightforward, and deeply classic character. Ageing in barrels, 60% of which are new oak, adds an extra layer of complexity without ever masking the fruit’s identity.
On the palate, Léoville Barton 2025 captivates with its restrained intensity and natural elegance. The nose opens with distinct aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry, and blackberry, complemented by notes of cedar, graphite, and delicate spices.
