The Domaine Amiot-Servelle is an emblematic Domaine of the Bourgogne located in the heart of the Côte de Nuit, at Chambolle-Musigny. It is renowned for its fine, elegant and refined red wines.
The story begins in 1920, when Clément Tachot began tending a few vines. A few years later, his son-in-law Jean Servelle and his daughter Cécile succeeded him and together set up Domaine Servelle-Tachot. Later, their daughter Elisabeth Servelle took over Domaine with her husband Christian Amiot, the son of a Morey-St-Denis winegrower, giving birth to Domaine Amiot-Servelle. Today, their daughter Prune is at the helm of Domaine.
With 7 hectares in the Chambolle-Musigny commune, Domaine acquired vineyards in Morey-Saint-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin in 2010, including two plots in Grand Cru: Clos Saint-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin.
Very concerned about the environment, Domaine has been certified organic since 2008. Synthetic products are no longer used, and the soil is worked mechanically (ploughing).
Thanks to meticulous work in the vineyard and during vinification, the wines of Domaine Amiot-Servelle perfectly reflect the unique terroir of Bourgogne and the pure expression of Pinot Noir.
With its wonderful ruby color, the wine develops intense notes of blackberry, raspberry and morello cherry on the nose. After a few Sec rounds, delicate floral scents of violet and peony emerge. On the palate, it's full-bodied and dense, with an imposing but well-integrated tannic charge. The fruit expresses itself with great purity, accompanied by a beautiful freshness. The finish is long and persistent, with a pleasant sensation of minerality.
