Unique plot located in the heart of Reims, with an area of one hectare, the bottles produced from this vineyard are as rare as they are exceptional. The vines located just above the cellars of Maison Lanson are rooted in very chalky soil and benefit from a microclimate.
Protected by high walls, the Clos Lanson, dating from the 18th century, offers a breathtaking view of the cathedral of the kings of France.
The 2009 vintage provided optimal conditions for the development of the grapes. Minerality, freshness, very delicate woodiness characterize this cuvée.
Clos Lanson 2009 is a blanc de blancs vinified exclusively in oak barrels for at least 12 years to achieve a unique aromatic complexity.
The nose is pure and seductive, it develops notes of ripe fruit, dried fruit and vanilla. After aeration, aromas of white peach, bergamot, hazelnut, almond and pastries follow one another with finesse and complexity.
On the palate, the wine soars with smoothness and freshness. A wave of white fruits and citrus fruits, pastry notes and finally a very fine woodiness, are expressed with great harmony. The finish is dense, creamy and chiseled.
Exceptional champagne evokes refined dishes. A Saint-Pierre with its leek fondue and cockle jus or roasted langoustines will go perfectly with the Lanson Clos Lanson 2009.
