The Maison Cazals was founded in 1897 in Mesnil-sur-Oger by Ernest Cazals, a renowned cooper originally from the Hérault region of France who had married a Champagne woman.
Three generations have since succeeded one another at the head of the estate, and today DelpHine Cazals manages it with the same passion and enthusiasm to continually highlight this great terroir of Côte des blancs.
Delphine Cazals has run the company since the death of his father in 1996. The entire Cazals vineyard comprises 9 hectares of vines spread over 4 communes: Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Vertus and Villeneuve. One part is therefore classified as Grand Cru and the other as Premier Cru. All vines are planted with Chardonnay to create cuvées with their own identity, full of finesse and aromatic power. The oceanic climate with continental influences is conducive to its development.
One of Maison Cazals' assets is an exceptional parcel of land classified as Grand Cru in a delimited area: Le Clos Cazals, covering 3.70 hectares of old vines in the village of Oger.

Carte d’Or Grand Cru from Claude Cazals, made exclusively from Grands Crus. This cuvée embodies the quintessence of Blanc de Blancs, combining power and refinement with rare harmony.
From the first glance, the color captivates with its golden hues subtly tinged with green. The fine, lively bubbles rise in the glass with contagious energy, already promising a vibrant tasting experience. On the nose, it seduces with its complexity. The first scents evoke fresh citrus fruits—lemon, yuzu, grapefruit—before giving way to more indulgent notes of brioche, candied orange, and dried flowers. After a few minutes, a hint of vanilla reveals itself, adding a captivating depth.
On the palate, the attack is frank and invigorating, carried by a lively acidity that awakens the senses. In the mid-palate, the cuvée blossoms with an airy, almost delicate texture, where the roundness of the pastry aromas and the freshness of the citrus fruits are perfectly balanced. The finish, with remarkable persistence, lingers on citrus notes and a hint of noble bitterness, the signature of a great terroir.
Carte d'Or Grand Cru by Claude Cazals is an exceptional cuvée, where each bubble tells a story of terroir, passion, and expertise. A champagne that is both generous and refined, it is sure to win over lovers of exceptional bubbles.
