Wine and spirits masterpieces to your doorstep
La Cuvée,the signature cuvée of Laurent-Perrier, is a blend of over one hundred crus, dominated by Chardonnay. Made with 15 to 30 percent reserve wines, it is aged for four years in the cellar. Its pale gold color and fine bubbles give way to a nose of citrus and white flowers, followed by a fruity and savory palate. A refined classic, ideal for special occasions.

What connoisseur of Champagnes doesn't know Maison Laurent-Perrier, whose sumptuous cuvées possess an almost refreshing taste of history? A veritable benchmark within the circle of great Champagne houses, Maison Laurent-Perrier has always demonstrated an innovative spirit, displaying a very distinctive style of finesse and elegance for two centuries now.
It was towards the end of the First Empire, in 1812, that André-Michel Pierlot, a former cooper and bottler from Chigny-les-Roses, settled in Tours-sur-Marne as a wine merchant for Champagne. Tours-sur-Marne is a picturesque village located at the crossroads of the Marne's three main wine-growing regions: Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des blancs, and is one of only 17 communes to be classified as Grand Cru. In particular, he acquired two plots of land, "Les Plaisances" and "La Tour Glorieux", on which he built his own house.
His son Alphonse succeeded him, but as the latter had no children, it was his cellar master Eugène Laurent who became the owner in 1881. It was he who endowed this small business of Champagne with several annexes in Tours-sur-Marne and pieces of vines in the region's best crus: Bouzy, Tours-sur-Marne and Ambonnay, all classified as Grand Cru. He also had 800 meters of cellars dug to preserve the wines in optimal conditions, a constant that still characterizes the house today.
Following Eugène Laurent's death in 1887, it was his wife Mathilde Perrier who ensured the... See more ...
Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée is the flagship cuvée of the House of Tours-sur-Marne. Built around a dominant Chardonnay component exceeding fifty percent, it brings together more than one hundred crus from the three major regions of Champagne and incorporates a proportion of reserve wines carefully aged in the cellar. This non-vintage brut champagne embodies Laurent-Perrier’s signature style: aromatic finesse, freshness, and consistency from one vintage to the next.
Tasting Notes
The color is pale gold, with remarkable clarity, enlivened by very fine bubbles that form a persistent and even stream of foam. On the nose, the initial impressions are dominated by fresh citrus—lemon and grapefruit—followed by delicate white flowers. As it breathes, the profile gradually deepens with notes of vine peach and ripe white fruits. The attack on the palate is lively, with the effervescence contributing to an airy texture. The pronounced acidity, characteristic of the dominant Chardonnay, structures the wine and leads to a fruity, clean, and persistent finish, with a slightly salty aftertaste at the very end of the tasting.
Food and wine pairings
The aromatic freshness and liveliness of Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée make it a natural companion for an aperitif, whether paired with gougères, smoked salmon on toast, or a platter of oysters. Its Chardonnay-dominated profile also pairs well with delicate fish in light sauces, pan-seared scallops, or white poultry in a creamy sauce. Its versatility makes it a champagne suited for the entire festive meal.
Aging Potential
Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée, designed to be enjoyed as soon as it hits the market, fully reveals its character within three to six years of purchase. Four years of aging on slats has already initiated a process of autolysis that brings roundness and complexity; over the months, notes of brioche and toasted almond will gradually enrich the fruity profile. Served between 8 and 10 °C in a tulip glass rather than a flute, it better releases the aromatic expression developed by the dominant Chardonnay.
The vintage in the vineyard
Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée is not the expression of a single year but rather that of a mosaic of more than one hundred crus spread across the three major Champagne regions: the Côte des Blancs for Chardonnay, the Montagne de Reims for Pinot Noir, and the Vallée de la Marne for Meunier. Each year, the selection of base wines draws on a proportion of reserve wines—up to thirty percent—that have been aged in the cellars for up to four years. This use of reserves ensures the consistency of the house style regardless of the climatic vagaries of each harvest season.
Work in the Cellar
The production of Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée relies exclusively on cuvée juice—the purest fraction obtained from pressing—which serves as the raw material for the blend. The clear wines are vinified separately by vineyard and grape variety before being blended by the Cellar Master, whose signature ensures consistency in the profile from one cuvée to the next. After disgorgement, secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the traditional Champagne method. Aging on slats for four years promotes gradual autolysis, which gives the cuvée its roundness and aromatic complexity. Disgorgement is followed by a Brut dosage that preserves the characteristic freshness of Maison Laurent-Perrier.
