The Maison Cazals was founded in 1897 in Mesnil-sur-Oger by Ernest Cazals, a renowned cooper originally from the Hérault region of France who had married a Champagne woman.
Three generations have since succeeded one another at the head of the estate, and today DelpHine Cazals manages it with the same passion and enthusiasm to continually highlight this great terroir of Côte des blancs.
Delphine Cazals has run the company since the death of his father in 1996. The entire Cazals vineyard comprises 9 hectares of vines spread over 4 communes: Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Vertus and Villeneuve. One part is therefore classified as Grand Cru and the other as Premier Cru. All vines are planted with Chardonnay to create cuvées with their own identity, full of finesse and aromatic power. The oceanic climate with continental influences is conducive to its development.
One of Maison Cazals' assets is an exceptional parcel of land classified as Grand Cru in a delimited area: Le Clos Cazals, covering 3.70 hectares of old vines in the village of Oger.
Maison Claude Cazals offers splendidly fresh, irresistible cuvées.

Made exclusively from Chardonnay from the Clos Cazals "Chapelle" parcel at Oger, Grand Cru from Côte des blancs, this 2018 vintage embodies both the richness of a great terroir and the precision of patient vinification. Planted in 1980, this parcel produces a cuvée of great maturity and finesse.
Aged for six years on lees in a vaulted cellar, with a subtle 10% transfer to oak after fermentation in stainless steel tanks, this Champagne combines density and freshness. The moderate dosage (5 g/l) respects the wine's natural balance.
To the eye, delicate reflections of light yellow and white gold, animated by a fine, regular effervescence. The nose is precise and clean, with discreet greediness around white and yellow fruits and a hint of red berries. On the palate, the vinosity is supported by elegant acidity, with a soft, persistent texture of orchard fruit and citrus flavors. The warm, harmonious finish leaves a long, lingering impression.
A sunny vintage with generous yields, 2018 offers here an accomplished expression, both ample and chiselled. Perfect as an aperitif with gougères, it reveals all its brilliance with scallops just snacked with truffles. A confidential, refined cuvée for demanding connoisseurs.
