The Champagne Siret Frère et Sœur is the fruit of a family renaissance, the union of two terroirs, that of the Côte des blancs and the Côte des Bar. Entirely family-run and handcrafted, from the cultivation of the vines to the numbering of the bottle, the wines reflect its identity and the art of time.
With respect for biodiversity and the rhythms of nature in the vineyards, cellar-aged for a minimum of 48 months and low dosage, the harmony of Siret wines is born from the mastery of time.
The Domaine operates a vineyard area of 3.5 hectares spread over 25 parcels. The vines come from massal selection throughout the vineyard.
Limitation of tillage, inputs, absence of synthetic inSecticides, application of herbal teas and plant decoctions... their work in the vineyard is part of an agro-ecological, alternative and thoughtful approach.
Champagne Siret Réserve Perpétuelle Edition #2017 (July 2017 bottling) offers a deep and nuanced interpretation of the solera method in Champagne, highlighting the character of this house’s terroirs with remarkable fidelity. Produced from a carefully orchestrated hand-harvest, this wine exemplifies precision in the harvest, where each plot is selected based on its optimal ripeness. The solera method, often rare in Champagne, plays a central role here by allowing for a complex and consistent expression of the terroir, mitigating the vagaries of vintages to let the land and the winemaker fully express themselves.
The blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay reveals a balanced and structured approach, where each grape variety contributes its own personality. The Pinot Noir, a source of structure and intensity, imparts deep notes of ripe fruit and a generous palate, while the Chardonnay adds aromas of finesse and elegance, notably through a subtle freshness. The use of a blend of vintages spanning 2013 to 2016 further enriches this cuvée with layers of aroma, each vintage adding its own nuance to the palette of flavours.
Vinified without fining or filtration, with full malolactic fermentation, this champagne reveals a creamy texture and a silky mouthfeel, reflecting meticulous work that respects the wine’s natural qualities. Aged for at least 60 months in the cellar, it possesses an aromatic depth and structure found only in long-aged champagnes. The dosage of 3 g/l, bordering on Extra-Brut, allows for a precision and purity that balance its richness, highlighting the wine’s integrity and tension without masking its complexity.
On the palate, notes of dried fruit and apricot unfold subtly, giving way to autumnal flavours evoking baked apple on the finish—a rich, lingering touch that prolongs the tasting experience. The creamy texture and broad mouthfeel make this cuvée a unique experience, where harmony and persistence unfold against a backdrop of mineral freshness. This Réserve Perpétuelle Edition #2017 thus stands out for its ability to capture the essence of its terroir while offering remarkable complexity and length—a champagne for connoisseurs seeking authenticity and depth.
