This House, founded in 1818 by Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon, is still one of the last family-run and independent Champagne Houses, run by François Roland-Billecart, head of the 6th generation.

Description Billecart-Salmon Le Rosé.

A true icon of the Billecart-Salmon house to this day, Le Rosé was created in the 70s by Jean Roland-Billecart, who wanted to restore it to its former glory. It appears in the glass in a brilliant pale pink with salmon hues. On the nose, it soon gives off subtle, fine aromas of red berries and citrus fruits such as raspberry, redcurrant and grapefruit. On aeration, floral nuances appear, adding freshness and complexity. On the palate, the lively, precise attack continues with fine tension. The wine is fine and airy, sustained by delicate red fruit aromas. The pure finish leaves us with raspberry notes.

This Champagne, ideal for a successful aperitif, goes perfectly with smoked salmon maki or prawn fritters. It will also be splendid with a red fruit tart, a quetsche tart or a lemon entremet.

These bottles are, of course, of "irreproachable" gustatory quality, but suffer from slight defects on the label or cap. United by a love for their terroir, respect for traditional craftsmanship, and a vision for the future, these exceptional winemakers have been rigorously selected for the excellence of their work. Membership in the club is granted only upon sponsorship by one or more existing members.

For them, champagne is not just a celebratory drink; it is a unique story told through every bottle.

The “Spécial Club” cuvée

Being a member of this highly exclusiveclub allows winemakers to produce a unique, vintage-dated prestige cuvée: the Spécial Club. Recognized as the ultimate symbol of their expertise, this cuvée undergoes a rigorous process to ensure impeccable quality.

To earn this coveted “label,” each bottle must pass through rigorous stages:

  • Ultra-strict specifications demanding authenticity and perfection.
  • Two successive blind tastings, conducted by a jury of five independent oenologists.
  • A unanimous verdict: The quality of the cuvée must receive the absolute unanimous approval of the jury to be entitled to bear the name “Spécial Club.”
