The Domaine Hubert Lamy is a highly reputed Domaine from Burgundy, located on Côte de Beaune at Saint-Aubin. An essential reference, it was created in 1973 by Hubert Lamy, then owner of 8 hectares of vines at Saint-Aubin.
Today, Domaine is run by Hubert's son Olivier, and has grown significantly, comprising 18 hectares of vines spread over the Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay appellations.
Olivier, renowned for his rigorous and innovative approach, focuses on environmentally-friendly viticulture to express the full complexity of Bourgogne's climates. The result is wines of great purity that perfectly express their exceptional terroir.
The Chassagne-Montrachet "La Goujonne" 2023 from Domaine Hubert Lamy reveals itself in the glass with a deep, luminous ruby color, already hinting at the concentration and richness of this vintage. On the nose, it unfolds a complex and captivating bouquet with aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberry and black cherry, delicate flowers such as peony and violet, undergrowth and tobacco. A hint of sweet spice completes this complex aromatic profile after aeration. On the palate, the wine reveals all its power and roundness. The attack is rich and generous, with a silky texture that envelops the palate. The ripe, mellow tannins provide a solid structure without ever being aggressive, while a beautiful natural acidity balances the whole and gives the wine a refreshing tension. The fruit aromas express themselves with intensity, while the long, persistent finish is marked by a subtle mineral touch and lingering notes of black fruit and spices, confirming the elegance of this wine.
