The Maison Dujac, jewel of the Bourgogne viticulture, perfectly embodies the elegance and age-old tradition for which the wines of this prestigious region are renowned. Founded by the Seysses family, this trading and Domaine viticultural house enjoys a rich history and exceptional terroir that contribute to the international reputation of its wines.
The history of Maison Dujac began in 1968, when Jacques Seysses and his wife Rosalind acquired their first parcels of vines at Morey-Saint-Denis, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits en Bourgogne. Jacques, a wine enthusiast of Bordeaux origin, brought with him a fresh take on Burgundian winemaking, while respecting the region's age-old traditions and know-how. Indeed, it is in tribute to Jacques Dujac, Rosalind's grandfather, that the House is named "Dujac", marking a family heritage that endures.
Over the years, the Seysses family has expanded its Domaine by acquiring new parcels in some of the greatest terroirs of Bourgogne. Today, Maison Dujac's Domaine extends over a considerable area of vines, spread over several prestigious appellations such as Morey-Saint-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Vosne-Romanée, to name but a few. Each parcel is carefully selected for its qualitative potential and unique character, illustrating the Seysses family's commitment to producing exceptional wines.

Clos de la Roche is an exceptional Grand Cru, located between the villages of Morey-Saint-Denis to the south and Gevrey-Chambertin to the north. This terroir, characterized by highly variable slopes (ranging from 4 to 23%, with an average of 11%), extends between 276 and 308 meters above sea level, with an eastward orientation. The soil of Clos de la Roche is very diverse. To the east, it is 40 to 50 centimeters thick, reddish-brown in color, and rich in angular to blunt limestone rocks. To the west, at the top of the Grand Cru, it is dominated by small angular limestone gravel. The subsoil consists of two distinct substrates: to the east, a fine, light-colored Prémeaux limestone containing local nodules of silica; to the west, scree (bedded gravel) formed of centimeter-sized angular gravel from Comblanchien limestone.
The 2023 vintage of Clos de la Roche seduces with its aromatic complexity: notes of black berries, cherry, vine smoke, spices, and orange zest. On the palate, it is medium-bodied to full-bodied, with layered aromas and a deep, fleshy texture. Its open and generous profile, combined with a long, salty finish, makes it a wine of great distinction. An exceptional Clos de la Roche, where depth and elegance come together for an unforgettable result.
