Located in Eraville, on the border between Grande and Petite Champagne, the house of Cognac Jean-Luc Pasquet traces its origins back to 1730.
The domain was passed down from generation to generation until Jean-Luc Pasquet inherited the property in 1970. It was only in 1977 that Jean-Luc Pasquet began bottling its production.
The 14-hectare vineyard today is farmed organically - certified since 1998 - and planted with grape varieties from the Cognac region. This vineyard also has a few vines of Folle Blanche, the king grape of the Cognac region before the phylloxera crisis at the end of the 19th century. At the time, this very fragile grape gave rise to eaux-de-vie of incomparable finesse and richness, both olfactory and gustatory.
The house raises several qualities of Cognacs of different ages under labels specific to each quality. To ensure the continuity of its range of Cognacs over 20 years old at a time when its stock of old Cognacs is running out, Maison Pasquet goes out to meet the "bouilleurs de crus" (distillers) who keep hidden treasures in the privacy of their cellars. It selects a single cask and finishes working it to bring it to its ideal tasting level. Each bottle bears the producer's first name and is produced in a limited, numbered series.
From a single, carefully selected cask, Le Cognac d'Annick L.92 embodies the very essence of Grande Champagne, Premier Cru from the Cognac appellation. Distilled and matured by Annick Tribot in Criteuil-la-Magdeleine, this confidential Cognac bears witness to artisanal know-how and a parcel-by-parcel approach.
Bottled Brut from barrel at 45.9% vol., without reduction or cold filtration, it reveals all the aromatic complexity characteristic of its terroir of origin: fruit Secs, heady flowers, spicy notes and a fine woody frame.
The palate is straightforward, precise and vibrant, marked by beautiful tension and remarkable length.
Only 140 bottles were drawn from this unique batch, presented in 50 cl format with case. A Rareté for connoisseurs in search of authenticity, purity and emotion.
