"For me, this is the flagship Cognac from Maison Martell. The harmony between the aromatic power of Grande Champagne and the finesse of Borderies. L'Or offers a perfect balance between power and richness of aroma. The result of blending over 400 extremely Rares eaux-de-vie, it nevertheless remains a model expression of the House's philosophy." - Christophe Valtaud, Cellar Master at Martell

Martell: The oldest of the important Cognac houses was founded in 1715 by Jean Martell, a native of the island of Jersey who was barely 20 years old at the time and attracted by the already worldwide reputation of Charente eaux-de-vie.
Today, Martell is the world's 2nd largest brand of Cognac. Master of all its production, from distillation to bottling, blending and ageing, it has chosen to produce Cognacs from the region's 4 main appellations and to give pride of place to Borderies, 3rd cru in the Cognac hierarchy, renowned for its elegance.
This know-how, combined with the oak barrels in which they age for many years, gives rise to Cognacs of extreme finesse, floral and fragrant, preciously preserved in bottles with very elegant lines that make them the jewels of Cognac.
With L'Or de Jean Martell - Réserve du Château Chanteloup, Maison Martell celebrates French art de vivre and its rich architectural heritage. This unique collection features limited editions, each inspired by an emblematic Château, and offers an exceptional interpretation of the art of blending.
An intense amber color, enhanced by shimmering mahogany highlights, immediately evokes the richness and depth of this exceptional Cognac.
A fascinating bouquet blends citrus notes, such as bergamot and orange peel, with fruity aromas of black berries and blackcurrant. These nuances are enriched by spicy accents, a subtle marriage of clove, cinnamon and vanilla, enhanced by woody scents evoking myrrh, undergrowth and rancio.
The attack is subtle, giving way to rich, structured flavors. Blackcurrant and undergrowth meet the sweet spices of gingerbread and the intensity of orange peel. The eaux-de-vie of Grande Champagne bring power and structure, offering a remarkably tasty and persistent finish.
L'Or de Jean Martell is the fruit of over 700 eaux-de-vie Rares, some over a century old. This Cognac illustrates a perfect balance between the aromatic power of Grande Champagne and the subtlety of Borderies, the smallest and most prestigious cru in the Cognac region.
Each bottle is a work of art, evoking a precious drop in which the Cognac is protected. Made from precious crystal, it symbolizes the elegance and exclusivity that characterize this masterpiece from Maison Martell.
