A name synonymous with tradition and excellence, born of the know-how of the Abécassis family. Anchored in the heart of the Charente region, Domaine Leyrat embodies the philosophy of Single Estate Cognac: total control of the production process, from vine to glass.
Located in the heart of the Fins Bois cru, Domaine Leyrat extends over 102 hectares of vines carefully cultivated to respect biodiversity. This terroir, rich in limestone soils, gives the eaux-de-vie floral notes and great finesse. The House stands out for its commitment to eco-responsibility, rewarded in 2023 by the Trophées Cognac Vignoble Engagé - Biodiversité.
Every stage in the production process is carried out on site: harvesting at perfect maturity, vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, and distillation in 1971 Charentais stills. Under the expert guidance of the Master Distiller, double iron distillation produces pure, aromatic eaux-de-vie.
Aging takes place in over 2,000 Limousin oak barrels, spread over 11 cellars, some of which house century-old Cognacs. Once matured, the eaux-de-vie are precisely blended to create a refined range: VS, VSOP, XO and exceptional vintages. Bottling, carried out on the estate, is distinguished by the care given to the exceptional, hand-labeled decanters.
Domaine Leyrat welcomes visitors all year round for tastings and guided tours through its unique winegrowing heritage. Immerse yourself in the world of Single Estate Cognac, a symbol of passion, tradition and innovation.
Leyrat Passion is made from 100% Ugni-blanc grapes from the Fins Bois cru, distilled in a traditional Charentais still and aged in Limousin oak barrels. A blend Rare from the Paradis winery, including centuries-old eaux-de-vie, gives each bottle an unrivalled singularity. This Cognac, 42% vol. is available in 50cl, a true work of art to be savored.
It embodies the excellence of Single Estate Cognac. Distilled at Chez Maillard's Domaine, it is aged in two stages: in Secs to intensify its complexity, followed by maturation in damp cellars to bring suppleness and freshness.
Its golden amber color precedes an elegant nose, blending aromas of violets, candied fruit, orange peel, licorice and sandalwood. On the palate, it boasts balanced, silky power, with woody and spicy notes, followed by a fresh finish with hints of blackcurrant and apple.
Offered in a limited edition of 200 numbered boxes, each 50cl decanter is accompanied by two engraved 10cl bottles. Made from Ugni-blanc wines from the Fins Bois cru, this Cognac Rare comes from the Paradis winery and includes century-old eaux-de-vie. A true collector's item.
