Located in Eraville, on the border between Grande and Petite Champagne, the house of Cognac Jean-Luc Pasquet traces its origins back to 1730.
The domain was passed down from generation to generation until Jean-Luc Pasquet inherited the property in 1970. It was only in 1977 that Jean-Luc Pasquet began bottling its production.
The 14-hectare vineyard today is farmed organically - certified since 1998 - and planted with grape varieties from the Cognac region. This vineyard also has a few vines of Folle Blanche, the king grape of the Cognac region before the phylloxera crisis at the end of the 19th century. At the time, this very fragile grape gave rise to eaux-de-vie of incomparable finesse and richness, both olfactory and gustatory.
The house raises several qualities of Cognacs of different ages under labels specific to each quality. To ensure the continuity of its range of Cognacs over 20 years old at a time when its stock of old Cognacs is running out, Maison Pasquet goes out to meet the "bouilleurs de crus" (distillers) who keep hidden treasures in the privacy of their cellars. It selects a single cask and finishes working it to bring it to its ideal tasting level. Each bottle bears the producer's first name and is produced in a limited, numbered series.
With its Cuvée Symphonie des Terroirs N°2, named Confluences, the House of Jean-Luc Pasquet pays tribute to the delicate art of blending. A true cross between several Charentais crus and the expertise of passionate winemakers, this Cognac embodies the richness born of the meeting of terroirs. Made from carefully selected eaux-de-vie and bottled in March 2025 at 48.8% vol., only 255 bottles of this confidential edition are available.
In the glass, La robe's deep amber color with golden highlights heralds an elegant, generous tasting experience. The nose opens with a floral and fruity palette, enriched by fine woody notes and sweet spices. The palate reveals a beautiful complexity, marked by successive layers of fruit Secs, vanilla, fine leather and honey. The silky, persistent finish leaves a warm impression punctuated by lightly spicy notes.
A meditative Cognac, to be savored slowly, preferably neat in a tulip-shaped glass, after letting it breathe for a few moments. Each numbered bottle, in 50 cl format, underlines the exclusivity of this cuvée with its harmonious sensory signature.
