House Prunier is located in Cognac with 250 years of history spanning more than two centuries. Since 1769, House Prunier has been making its mark alongside the great names of Cognac.
The first traces of the Prunier family date back to 1701, but it wasn't until 1769 that bottling and export activities really got underway at Cognac, as the old labels on Prunier bottles testify.
Across the ages, the 1850 building has seen each generation grow up. The walls, like photographs, carry the family memory. Even today, this building is the soul of Maison Prunier.
In July 1945, Winston Churchill hosted a dinner in Potsdam to mark the last major conference of the war era. Among the 28 guests were US President Truman and Soviet leader Stalin, both of whom had been hosts at previous dinners. Churchill, attentive to every detail, personally supervised every aspect of the event, from the cuisine to the wine selection. The dinner, a diplomatic success, ended with a historic toast between Churchill and Stalin, sharing a glass of Prunier cognac.
Today, the Maze Churchill family and Maison Prunier are honored to present this collector's item, a special edition of Prunier cognac. A vibrant tribute to Sir Winston Churchill's love of exceptional cognacs, combining prestige and heritage.
This Cuvée Winston Churchill is the result of a blend of two unique Borderies, aged for at least 40 years. These two vintages come together in perfect harmony, without caramel or additives, to offer an exceptional Eau-de-Vie. Its smooth and fragrant profile reveals a delicate floral bouquet of violets, while its power makes it the ideal companion for a good cigar.
