Founded in 1852 by Auguste Dupuy in Jarnac, France, Maison Dupuy has embodied excellence and expertise in Cognac for over 170 years.
Right from the start, Auguste Dupuy recognized the international prestige of French art de vivre, and it was with passion that he bottled his dream : a Cognac bearing his name.
Passed on to his nephew Edmond, then bought by Thomas Bache-Gabrielsen in 1905, Maison Dupuy continues this tradition today, combining finesse, quality and refinement. The Chai Paradis, where the oldest eaux-de-vie are kept, is the heart of the House, a place where the treasures of Grande and Petite Champagne rest.
Each Cognac produced by the House is an ode to the terroir, aged with patience to offer cuvées of great Rare purity and complexity.
The Rare Réserve range from Maison Dupuy unveils exceptional Cognacs, aged for decades, hand-bottled and presented in carefully numbered limited editions to delight the most demanding connoisseurs.
Produced from a rigorous blend of Grande and Petite Champagne, this VSOP, averaging 7 years in age, reveals beautiful aromatic complexity while retaining remarkable balance. Petite Champagne ensures an upright, energetic structure on the palate, while Grande Champagne confers elegant length and an expressive bouquet.
The nose is floral and luminous, dominated by hawthorn, honeysuckle and wild flowers, with a hint of zesty citrus. The supple yet precise palate opens with jammy fruit, mellow woody notes and a touch of sweet spice, and stretches to a fresh, long and tasty finish - Rare at this level of ageing.
A versatile wine, this VSOP can be enjoyed as an aperitif with sun-dried tomatoes or pecans, or at the end of a meal with a chocolate dessert such as a fondant brownie. A Cognac with character, both accessible and racy, made for curious and discerning palates.
