Cognac Le Reviseur was born of the "Single Estate Cognac" philosophy, a conviction held by the Domaines Francis Abécassis, who bring together four vineyards in the heart of the Cognac appellation. Located in the prestigious Petite Champagne region, Barret's Domaine benefits from a clay-limestone terroir, ideally exposed to the sun, enabling the cultivation of an Ugni-Blanc grape of exceptional quality. Every stage of production, from harvest to bottling, is carried out directly on the Domaine to guarantee the purity and quality of the eaux-de-vie.
The vinification and distillation process is fully mastered, with Charentais "repasse" stills producing powerful, elegant eaux-de-vie. After distillation, Cognacs age slowly in oak casks from the Tronçais and Limousin forests, where they acquire their complex aromas. This marriage of oak and eau-de-vie gives rise to subtle notes of plum, almond, cinnamon, pepper and toast, which evolve over time.
With High Environmental Value certification since 2019, Cognac Le Reviseur is an environmentally-friendly product, embodying ancestral know-how and a constant commitment to quality and sustainability. Each bottle reflects a perfect alchemy of tradition and innovation, offering connoisseurs a refined and complex Cognac.
Le Reviseur XO is an exceptional Cognac, characterized by its old gold color and mahogany highlights. From the very first nose, it reveals subtle aromas of rancio, ripe fruit and licorice, followed by woody nuances, undergrowth and roasted coffee, revealing great complexity.
On the palate, it seduces with its aromatic richness, blending licorice, caramel butter, candied fruit and cedar wood. Its round, supple texture is perfectly balanced by a long, woody finish.
This Cognac, to be enjoyed neat or over ice, is ideal for savoring at the end of a meal with friends, offering a refined taste experience. It is available in a 70cl bottle, presented in an individual box.
Produced in cru Petite Champagne, with a blend of old batches of eaux-de-vie at least 10 years old, this Cognac is made from 100% Ugni-blanc. Ageing in Limousin oak barrels gives it complexity and elegant structure.
