Auguste Dupuy

Founded in 1852 by Auguste Dupuy in Jarnac, France, Maison Dupuy has embodied excellence and expertise in Cognac for over 170 years.

Right from the start, Auguste Dupuy recognized the international prestige of French art de vivre, and it was with passion that he bottled his dream : a Cognac bearing his name.

Passed on to his nephew Edmond, then bought by Thomas Bache-Gabrielsen in 1905, Maison Dupuy continues this tradition today, combining finesse, quality and refinement. The Chai Paradis, where the oldest eaux-de-vie are kept, is the heart of the House, a place where the treasures of Grande and Petite Champagne rest.

Each Cognac produced by the House is an ode to the terroir, aged with patience to offer cuvées of great Rare purity and complexity.

The Rare Réserve range from Maison Dupuy unveils exceptional Cognacs, aged for decades, hand-bottled and presented in carefully numbered limited editions to delight the most demanding connoisseurs.

Description Auguste Dupuy XO Prestige.

Made exclusively from Grande Champagne, this XO Prestige embodies all the richness and depth of Premier Cru de Cognac. Composed of eaux-de-vie aged an average of 20 years (some of which have rested for over forty years), it expresses a refined style that is both intense and perfectly blended.

On the nose, the first impression is greedy, with fresh leather, candied ginger and white nougat.

The dense, opulent palate unfolds a mosaic of aromas: fruit Secs, blond cigar, sandalwood, before blossoming into a lingering finish with accents of roasted coffee, prunes and clove.

The balance between aromatic complexity and smoothness on the finish illustrates a controlled aging process that respects the material.

This noble, voluptuous Cognac is ideal for meditative tasting, accompanied by a cigar or a great black coffee. A classic, racy signature that will appeal to lovers of great XOs in search of depth and elegance.

The care we take when receiving wines in our cellars enables us to detect bottles with imperfections (dirty or faded labels, damaged capsules, etc.). In such cases, they are systematically set aside and never put online! Our preparation team selects only bottles with perfect presentation for your orders!

It is these bottles with slight external defects that we present to you in the "Existe en imparfaite" selection. These bottles are, of course, of "irreproachable" gustatory quality, but suffer from slight defects on the label or cap. We therefore offer them at a preferential price, making the pleasure of tasting them even more affordable.
