La Maison Trijol is located in the heart of the Cognac region, a few kilometers from Cognac. Part of the vineyard extends over Grande Champagne, Premier Cru and is planted mainly with Ugni-Blanc.
Their first still to distill was set up in 1859, and the House is now run by a fifth generation, Jean-Jacques Trijol.
Faithful to its Charter, Premiers Grands Crus has retained only the Cognacs Trijol Grande Champagne, a cru among the 6 crus of the Cognac region but ranked Premier Cru right at the top in the hierarchy of crus of Cognac for its qualities.
The result of a prestigious partnership with Meilleur Ouvrier de France Simon Verger, this XO de Grande Champagne signed Maxime Trijol expresses all the nobility of Premier Cru du Cognac. A very limited edition of just 150 decanters, this cuvée has been crafted from carefully selected eaux-de-vie of advanced age, with a focus on refinement, depth and balance.
Its golden color with orange highlights heralds a complex, elegant nose, combining aromas of candied fruit, silky vanilla, noble wood and a subtle rancio, the signature of long aging.
On the palate, the smooth attack quickly opens out into a full, lush body, with persistent, perfectly blended flavors. The long, harmonious finish leaves an impression of controlled finesse and aromatic intensity typical of Grande Champagne.
Presented in a luxurious decanter, this XO is designed for pure tasting at room temperature (around 20°C), ideally at the end of a meal or for moments of contemplation. A collector's item as much as a Rare pleasure, tailor-made for lovers of exceptional Cognacs in search of depth and emotion.
