Cognac Le Reviseur was born of the "Single Estate Cognac" philosophy, a conviction held by the Domaines Francis Abécassis, who bring together four vineyards in the heart of the Cognac appellation. Located in the prestigious Petite Champagne region, Barret's Domaine benefits from a clay-limestone terroir, ideally exposed to the sun, enabling the cultivation of an Ugni-Blanc grape of exceptional quality. Every stage of production, from harvest to bottling, is carried out directly on the Domaine to guarantee the purity and quality of the eaux-de-vie.
The vinification and distillation process is fully mastered, with Charentais "repasse" stills producing powerful, elegant eaux-de-vie. After distillation, Cognacs age slowly in oak casks from the Tronçais and Limousin forests, where they acquire their complex aromas. This marriage of oak and eau-de-vie gives rise to subtle notes of plum, almond, cinnamon, pepper and toast, which evolve over time.
With High Environmental Value certification since 2019, Cognac Le Reviseur is an environmentally-friendly product, embodying ancestral know-how and a constant commitment to quality and sustainability. Each bottle reflects a perfect alchemy of tradition and innovation, offering connoisseurs a refined and complex Cognac.
Le Reviseur XXO is an exceptional Cognac, representing the pinnacle of Francis Abécassis' Domaines expertise. This Single Estate Cognac is produced in keeping with the traditions of the Petite Champagne cru, within the 90 hectares of the family's Domaine estate. Its amber color with golden highlights already heralds a refined product.
The rich, complex nose opens with aromas of ripe fruit, honey, licorice, cinnamon and a subtle touch of pepper. On the palate, this XXO reveals a round, soft texture, with spicy, woody aromas and delicate notes of candied fruit and cedar wood, offering a long, elegant finish.
Aged for at least 14 years, it is made from 100% Ugni-blanc grapes grown on clay-limestone terroir. Aging in top-quality Limousin oak barrels makes it particularly expressive and harmonious.
Available in a 70cl bottle, presented in an individual box, this Cognac can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks, at any time of day or at the end of a meal.
