House Prunier is located in Cognac with 250 years of history spanning more than two centuries. Since 1769, House Prunier has been making its mark alongside the great names of Cognac.
The first traces of the Prunier family date back to 1701, but it wasn't until 1769 that bottling and export activities really got underway at Cognac, as the old labels on Prunier bottles testify.
Across the ages, the 1850 building has seen each generation grow up. The walls, like photographs, carry the family memory. Even today, this building is the soul of Maison Prunier.
Aged in oak barrels since 1999, then transferred to large oak vats for the last four years, the Cognac 20 yo from the Prunier family is a sublime expression of the exceptional terroir of Grande Champagne.
To the eye, this Cognac stands out for its brilliant gold color with golden highlights. On the nose, the attack is very elegant, combining finesse, delicacy and aromatic intensity. A vinous, floral bouquet unfolds, offering a beautiful expression of tea, fresh hazelnut and orange zest. The aromatic precision is remarkable.
Faithful to the nose, the palate reveals a precise, elegant nectar, carried by notes of orange blossom and fine tannins. The balance between purity of aroma, freshness and fullness on the palate is typical of the Grande Champagne terroir. The texture is silky and enveloping, offering exceptional length on the palate.
Produced in limited quantities of 1,800 bottles, this Cognac reflects the outstanding expertise of the Prunier family. The Gimeux cellars, with their natural hygrometry provided by the adjacent river, offer ideal conditions for ageing this exceptional Cognac.
It pairs perfectly with dishes such as blanquette de veau or poulet à la crème, capable of sustaining complexity without overpowering finesse.
