Prunier
House Prunier is located in Cognac with 250 years of history spanning more than two centuries. Since 1769, House Prunier has been making its mark alongside the great names of Cognac.
The first traces of the Prunier family date back to 1701, but it wasn't until 1769 that bottling and export activities really got underway at Cognac, as the old labels on Prunier bottles testify.
Across the ages, the 1850 building has seen each generation grow up. The walls, like photographs, carry the family memory. Even today, this building is the soul of Maison Prunier.
Description Prunier rare Réserve "Claire" Limited Edition.
In the family of exceptional Cognacs, Maison Prunier has easily carved out a place for itself with its cuvée Claire, a collector's Cognac. Created by Stéphane Burnez in collaboration with his daughter Claire, who lends it her name, this cuvée slumbers in a crystal decanter cut from a replica of an ancient decanter from the Prunier family's antique glassware collection. Its design, with its clean hand-cut lines and smooth, round body, makes it a work of art in its own right.
A blend of Fins Bois, the nectar itself is a collector's edition of just 500. The eaux-de-vie that make it up, with an average age of 35 years, are a tribute to the heritage of the Prunier family, while embodying the innovative spirit of the master blenders.
To the eye, the eau-de-vie reveals a deep mahogany color, a sign of its prolonged aging. On the nose, it offers an explosion of sophisticated fragrances: Secs fruit and citrus peel, with hints of almond, leather, liquorice and coffee, evoking a Charentais rancio typical of old Cognacs.
On the palate, this Cognac reveals great persistence and surprisingly light, fine tannins for a blend of this age. Aromas of Secs fruit and citrus peel dominate, accompanied by the same complexity identified on the nose: notes of leather, licorice and coffee. The rancio adds depth and richness that linger on the palate, offering remarkable persistence.
The Claire decanter's presentation box is as ingenious as it is elegant. In one drawer, a crystal stopper closes the decanter after opening. In the other drawer, a small pocket of glass beads reduces the amount of air in the decanter, preserving the quality of Cognac once opened. Finally, the booklet included in the box reveals some of the Secrets of Maison Prunier's Cognac production.
Each decanter comes with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity, guaranteeing the origin and quality of the product.
So Cognac Claire Réserve from Maison Prunier is a Rare bottle to be contemplated and tasted.
