Located in the heart of the prestigious Côte des blancs, Maison Waris-Hubert is the fruit of a long family tradition, today represented by Stéphanie and Olivier Waris, the fourth generation of winemakers.
Based in Avize, village Grand Cru, the Waris-Hubert family carefully cultivates exceptional terroirs, including the Grands Crus of Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Oger, Aÿ, as well as the Premiers Crus of Grauves and Bisseuil. These clay-limestone soils are enhanced by meticulous working methods, including horse-drawn ploughing on their plots Grand Cru, demonstrating a deep respect for the environment.
Stéphanie and Olivier, who began developing their own vineyard in 1997, continue their quest for excellence by producing low dosage Champagnes, highlighting the purity, minerality and finesse of their terroirs. The first bottles were released in 2001, marking the beginning of a new era for the family. With each cuvée, the precision of work carried out by Maison Waris-Hubert translates into elegant, refined Champagnes, combining minerality and floral aromas.
From the "Les Hauts Boquets" parcel in Grauves, Waris-Hubert's Cuvée Sans Sulfites Ajoutés is a Blanc de blancs Premier Cru made with the purest respect for the terroir. With a low dosage of 4.2 g/l and no added sulfites, this Champagne offers an authentic expression of fruit, allowing the Chardonnay grape to reach its full potential.
Its bright yellow-green color is adorned with a fine effervescence that heralds the wine's freshness.
The nose reveals delicate aromas of lemon, verbena and acacia flowers, with hints of chalk and iodine that recall its terroir.
On the palate, the attack is supple and fresh, carried by a creamy effervescence and a crisp, fruity texture. The lemony acidity adds tension, while the chalky minerality underlines the finesse of this Champagne.
Perfect with iodized seafood dishes, such as scallop carpaccio or a seafood platter, this Blanc de blancs stands out for its purity and balance.
