The Domaine Denis Mortet produces authentic, elegant wines, faithful to the terroir of Gevrey-Chambertin. Family heritage and viticultural rigor ensure the quality and unique expression of each parcel.
Since 1956, Domaine Denis Mortet has embodied a family history deeply rooted in the vineyards of Gevrey-Chambertin. The Domaine Denis Mortet, founded in 1991 at Gevrey-Chambertin, is renowned for its wines of great finesse and consistency. After Denis Mortet's death, his son Arnaud brought a lighter, more subtle style thanks to infusion vinification.
Lavaux Saint-Jacques 2015 comes from a unique terroir combining poor, chalky soils, south-facing with natural freshness. This Pinot Noir has a complex nose of black pepper, cherry, blackberry and leather, combined with a balanced palate of fine tannins and good acidity.
A powerful, elegant wine to be decanted young, with exceptional ageing potential to 2045 and beyond.
This Grand Cru is equally at home with sweet-spiced rack of lamb, wild mushroom risotto or full-bodied dark chocolate, revealing all the wine's complexity and depth throughout the meal.
