Nestled in the heart of the medieval town of Saint-Émilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Couvent des Jacobins embodies nearly seven centuries of history and passion for wine. Formerly occupied by Jacobin monks, this exceptional estate continues the great tradition of the region's Grands Crus Classés, combining a unique terroir with rigorous winemaking expertise.
Since 2020, the estate's wines have been certified "Organic Agriculture," a strong commitment to environmentally friendly viticulture and authentic aromas. Each bottle tells a story, that of a preserved heritage and a quest for excellence, where tradition and modernity intertwine.
For wine lovers, Couvent des Jacobins is much more than an estate: it is a sensory and cultural experience, an invitation to discover the soul of a timeless Saint-Émilion.
Color development was more gradual than in 2022, with longer macerations of between 22 and 35 days depending on the pareelle. At this stage of ageing, Couvent reminds us of the 2008 and 2016 vintages in terms of density, aromatic notes, mouthfeel, body and tension. Great freshness on the mid-palate, suggesting great balance for many years in the cellar, while retaining its character and deliciousness. Fresh and well-balanced, this wine will delight lovers of well-balanced, racy and dynamic wines.
