The House of Antinori, a venerable name in the world of Italian wine, embodies a rich history and ongoing passion for viticulture that dates back over six centuries.
Founded in 1385 in Florence, is one of the oldest wine-producing families in the world, playing a key role in promoting Tuscan viticulture and contributing to the international renown of Italian wines.
The family's history is a tale of dedication to winemaking excellence, passed down from generation to generation. Successive family members have combined tradition and innovation, constantly adapting their winemaking practices to stay at the forefront of the industry. Their perseverance has spanned centuries of history, wars and societal change, making the family an immutable pillar of the Italian wine world.
The Domaine extends over a significant number of hectares, with vineyards spread across different regions of Italy. The diversity of terroirs, ranging from Tuscan hills to sunny coasts, offers a range of ideal conditions for different grape varieties. The Antinori family owns vineyards both in Tuscany and in other renowned Italian wine regions, each bringing its own distinct character to the family's wines.

The Domaine Prunotto, located in the Langhe, the historic region of Piedmont between the Barbaresco and Barolo appellations, is nestled in a green setting. Nestled between hills and valleys, the 74 hectares of vines stretch along the Rive droite of the River Tanaro.
The Antinori family began marketing the wines in 1989, then took over production in 1994, when the Colla brothers, friends of the founder of Domaine, Alfredo Prunotto, who had replaced him in 1956, retired.
The vineyard is divided into a number of plots on which several emblematic grape varieties are grown: Bussia, Bussia Vigna Colonnello, Costamiole, Bensella, Bric Turot, Pian Romualdo and Occhetti. The soils, made up of sand, clay and silt, and the microclimates are ideal for enhancing the elegance and complexity of the grapes. The attention paid to the soil, the vines and the harvest stems from the conviction that great wines can only be made from great grapes.
Today, Domaine continues to excel in the art of producing great wines that highlight the unique character of each appellation, while respecting the ancestral know-how of the Piedmontese terroir.
Tasting notes:
This 100% Nebbiolo wine, produced in Italy's Piedmont region, offers us an authentic expression of this emblematic grape variety, all finesse and elegance. With its magnificent deep ruby color, it boasts an intense, complex nose. Notes of raspberry and rose mingle harmoniously with a hint of licorice that adds freshness. The palate is full-bodied, evolving rapidly on well-integrated tannins with a velvety texture. Fine and racy, the palate offers an aromatic palette similar to that of the nose: raspberry, strawberry and cherry are intensely expressed. The beautifully pure finish is also incredibly long.
