Antinori

The House of Antinori, a venerable name in the world of Italian wine, embodies a rich history and ongoing passion for viticulture that dates back over six centuries.

Founded in 1385 in Florence, is one of the oldest wine-producing families in the world, playing a key role in promoting Tuscan viticulture and contributing to the international renown of Italian wines.

The family's history is a tale of dedication to winemaking excellence, passed down from generation to generation. Successive family members have combined tradition and innovation, constantly adapting their winemaking practices to stay at the forefront of the industry. Their perseverance has spanned centuries of history, wars and societal change, making the family an immutable pillar of the Italian wine world.

The Domaine extends over a significant number of hectares, with vineyards spread across different regions of Italy. The diversity of terroirs, ranging from Tuscan hills to sunny coasts, offers a range of ideal conditions for different grape varieties. Description Antinori - Villa Antinori Rosso 2022.

The Villa del Cigliano on the label is the real casa Antinori. Located in the province of Florence, it has been the birthplace of every generation of Antinori since 1546. It is a true symbol of the history and identity of this great family of winegrowers. The Villa Antinori cuvée was created in 1928 by Niccolo Antinori, because for him it represents the identity of Chianti and Tuscany.

Tasting notes:

This wine, with its splendid ruby-red color, is an emblematic cuvée of Casa Antinori. It presents itself to us with a complex nose combining notes of redcurrant, cherry and cardamom. Hints of vanilla and roasted hazelnuts, brought on by the ageing process, make themselves felt in the aromatic background. On the palate, the wine is full and round. The tannic load is well-integrated and offers a silky, rather enveloping texture. The fruit aromas unfold with intensity and carry us greedily through to the very persistent finish.

The care we take when receiving wines in our cellars enables us to detect bottles with imperfections (dirty or faded labels, damaged capsules, etc.). In such cases, they are systematically set aside and never put online! Our preparation team selects only bottles with perfect presentation for your orders!

It is these bottles with slight external defects that we present to you in the "Existe en imparfaite" selection. These bottles are, of course, of "irreproachable" gustatory quality, but suffer from slight defects on the label or cap. We therefore offer them at a preferential price, making the pleasure of tasting them even more affordable.
