Château Bouscaut

Château Bouscaut

In the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, Château Bouscaut displays its beauty and harmony with a three-century-old vineyard. It is a property that has belonged to the Lurton family since 1979, and is now managed by Sophie Lurton and her husband Laurent Cogombles. Everything is done to express the quintessence of this great Graves terroir, from the renovation of the cellars in 2010 to the meticulous and attentive management of the property's parcels.

The Château Bouscaut is classified as red and white in the Graves wine classification, and has a 50-hectare vineyard planted on gravel and clay-limestone soils.

- The red grape varieties are 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec. The ageing of the great wine is 18 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which are new. Les Chênes de Bouscaut is the Second red wine.

- The white grape variety is 50% Semillon and 50% Sauvignon Blanc. The great white wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which are new. Les Chênes de Bouscaut is the Second white wine.

The wines of Château Bouscaut are characterized by their charm and greed. The white wine is powerful and mineral, the red wine has a nice balance of fruit, spice and roundness.

Description Château Bouscaut 2018 - Blanc.

A great wine from the Pessac-Léognan appellation, Bouscaut immediately offers us an expressive, intense nose with a bouquet dominated by white-fleshed fruit and citrus. Floral hints appear after a few minutes' opening, adding depth. On the palate, the wine is lively and salivating on the attack, then a lovely roundness envelops the palate in the middle. There's an almost velvety sensation. The fruit aromas express themselves with intensity and the tasting ends on a sapid finish.

The care we take when receiving wines in our cellars enables us to detect bottles with imperfections (dirty or faded labels, damaged capsules, etc.). In such cases, they are systematically set aside and never put online! Our preparation team selects only bottles with perfect presentation for your orders!

It is these bottles with slight external defects that we present to you in the "Existe en imparfaite" selection. These bottles are, of course, of "irreproachable" gustatory quality, but suffer from slight defects on the label or cap. We therefore offer them at a preferential price, making the pleasure of tasting them even more affordable.
