The Champagne Chartogne-Taillet embodies artisanal excellence and family passion in the world of Champagne. Founded by Alexandre Chartogne in 2006, this house of Champagne located in the village of Merfy, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, in Champagne, is distinguished by its commitment to tradition, its attachment to terroir and its perpetual quest for innovation.
The Chartogne-Taillet family history is relatively recent, but it is marked by a spirit of dedication to the art of Champagne winemaking. Alexandre Chartogne, descendant of a line of winemakers, decided to create his own house of Champagne by enhancing the family vineyards and expressing the unique potential of each terroir.
The Montagne de Reims terroir is at the heart of the Chartogne-Taillet Champagnes identity. The vineyards cover around 12 hectares, spread across several villages, including Merfy, Saint-Thierry and Fontaine-Denis. The Montagne de Reims is renowned for its chalky soils and varied exposure, creating an ideal environment for growing the emblematic grape varieties of the Champagne, such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Chartogne-Taillet Rosé is a Rosé d'assemblage made mostly from the 2019 harvest, bottled the same year and disgorged in April 2022.
Made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier grapes, this Champagne Brut (dosage ~5 g/L) benefits from ageing in 228 and 350-liter barrels with spontaneous fermentation, without the addition of yeast or bacteria, thus respecting the pure expression of the terroir.
The chalky soils and minerality of the Champagne region give this wine length on the palate and a slight bitterness that balances out its richness.
Its pale color with light orange highlights precedes an elegant nose marked by notes of fresh red fruit.
On the palate, the attack is mellow with a silky texture, evolving towards a taut, saline finish of remarkable precision. The addition of red wine from Saint-Thierry's selected "Orizeaux" and "Fontaines" parcels gives this Champagne controlled aromatic depth without excessive fruitiness or tannicity.
This Rosé is a structured, nuanced wine, ideal for accompanying refined dishes such as roast pigeon, salmon ceviche or grilled lobster.
