It was Marcel OTT, an agricultural engineer, who in 1896 acquired the Domaines, which he named OTT's Domaines. With resolute passion, he set about replanting with noble grape varieties to revive these great Provence wines worthy of an age-old tradition.
Each Domaine Ott is cultivated with full respect for nature. Care is given to the land without chemical treatment or intensive production.
Vines that are too old are replaced to offer consistent quality to the wines of both Domaines.
Over the years, each of them has been patiently reshaped to create the best growing conditions, in espaliers and terraces. This regularity allows for natural drainage without runoff to pRéserver the soil and its character. Organic fertilizers are used naturally, and the vines are trained on wires.
The juices are fermented in vats, then matured in oak barrels. Today, Domaines are among the most famous, most demanding and best preserved of Provence.
The conditions for the 2024 vintage were ideal: a mild, moderately rainy spring followed by a hot summer, tempered by cool nights, enabled the grapes to ripen slowly and in a balanced way, revealing aromatic finesse and delicate acidity, the hallmarks of an elegant, well-structured Rosé.
Stemming from a multi-faceted terroir of gypsum, red clay, sandstone and gravel (nestled between pinewoods and forests), Château de Selle extends over 84 hectares of vines at altitude, giving this Rosé a unique mineral depth.
La robe pearly, luminous and crystalline, heralds a refined tasting experience.
The nose is complex and delicate, blending white peach and summer fruits in a beautiful aromatic intensity.
On the palate, the balance between roundness and freshness is perfect. The soft attack evolves into a more powerful structure, carried by a marked minerality. The lively, persistent finish reveals subtle saline and zesty accents.
Blend: 55% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, 12% Mourvèdre, 3% Syrah, a harmonious composition serving a Rosé that is at once greedy, precise and timeless, to be enjoyed today or aged in the cellar.
