This is a Cru Classé vineyard since 1955 whose origins in records go back to the 17th century. This Rare appellation of Cru Classé de Provence, only 18 vineyards are exclusively entitled to it.
This is a vineyard of around 70 hectares, overlooking the Mediterranean islands of Porquerolles, which has been in organic conversion since 2020.
The soils are composed of metamorphic rocks: creamy-colored quartz, ochre-colored sandstone and gravel. The grape varieties: Cinsault, Grenache, Mourverdre, Rolle, Sémillon, Syrah and Tibouren represent a veritable checkerboard and, thanks to their diversity, make it possible to compose a veritable symphony each year.
This rosé wine has a very pale pink color with slightly peachy highlights, bright and clear, in the elegant style of Mediterranean rosés. The nose is expressive and refined, revealing citrus notes such as pomelo at first, followed by a broader fruity palette combining exotic fruits, apricot, melon, and small red berries. The whole offers a beautiful aromatic intensity while retaining great finesse. On the palate, the attack is fresh and delicate. The wine develops a supple and harmonious texture where flavors of citrus, yellow fruits, and red fruits intermingle, accompanied by a beautiful liveliness. The balance between roundness and tension brings a sensation of precision and indulgence. The finish is clean and persistent, marked by a touch of saltiness and refreshing acidity that prolongs the fruity aromas. This elegant rosé perfectly illustrates the character of the Provençal terroir and offers a style that is accessible, precise, and very thirst-quenching.
