E. Guigal La Landonne 2015 is a powerful, racy wine, a symbol of the clay-limestone terroir enriched with iron oxides. Composed of 100% Syrah from vines around 35 years old, it is vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats with a maceration period of at least 4 weeks, then aged for 40 months in new barrels, guaranteeing depth and complexity.
Its dark, almost black color announces an intense nose of wild blackberry, violet, black pepper, and subtle notes of smoke and fine leather.
The palate is full-bodied, with an imposing yet elegant tannic structure, remarkable concentration and a long, spicy finish.
This rich vintage perfectly embodies the expression of the terroir and promises an ageing potential of over 30 years.
Served between 16 and 18°C, it pairs perfectly with hare à la royale, duck breast with sweet spices, or boletus and black truffle risotto, sublimating its aromatic power and tannic depth.
