E. Guigal

Guigal has long been synonymous with excellence and renown in the Rhône Valley, and its iconic wines are recognized around the world for their exceptional quality and distinctive character. Founded by Étienne Guigal in 1946, this family-run business has managed to pRéserver a remarkable winegrowing heritage and pass it on from generation to generation.

Among Guigal's signature wines are those of Côte-Rôtie, an appellation that represents the very essence of Domaine. Côte-Rôtie is famous for its steeply terraced vineyards, schist soils and continental climate. The resulting red wines are elegant, powerful and complex. Guigal offers several Côte-Rôtie cuvées, including the famous "La Mouline", "La Turque" and "La Landonne". These wines are refined expressions of Syrah, with seductive aromas of black fruits, spices, violets and licorice, as well as a remarkable tannic structure. They are renowned for their ability to age for many years, developing additional complexity and depth.

Another iconic Guigal wine is Hermitage, a prestigious appellation located on a hill overlooking the town of Tain-l'Hermitage. Hermitage vineyards produce red wines of great distinction, from the Syrah grape variety, as well as elegant white wines, based on Marsanne and Roussanne. Guigal's Hermitage red wines are renowned for their concentration, tannic structure and aromatic complexity. They feature intense aromas of black fruit, spice, licorice and truffle, as well as impressive length on the palate. Guigal's Hermitage white wines are... See more ...

Description E. Guigal La Mouline 2015.

E. Guigal La Mouline 2015 embodies the quintessential Côte Blonde terroir, with its Roman amphitheater vines on siliceous and limestone soils. This wine is a blend of 89% Syrah and 11% Viognier, from vines averaging 75 years old.

Traditional vinification in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, followed by 4-week maceration, precedes a unique 40-month ageing period in new barrels, guaranteeing exceptional aromatic complexity.

La robe ruby red with vermilion highlights precedes a refined nose with notes of fresh red fruit, wild blackberry and delicate floral aromas such as violet. On the palate, the attack is supple and velvety, with perfect harmony between aromatic finesse and concentrated power.

This voluptuously textured wine reveals remarkable aromatic intensity and exceptional length on the palate, with an aging potential of around 15 years.

Served between 16 and 18°C, it sublimates refined dishes such as rack of veal with morels, roast pigeon with foie gras, or roast lobster with sweet spices, offering a subtle harmony between the delicacy of the dish and the aromatic power of the wine.

ROSES2025

The care we take when receiving wines in our cellars enables us to detect bottles with imperfections (dirty or faded labels, damaged capsules, etc.). In such cases, they are systematically set aside and never put online! Our preparation team selects only bottles with perfect presentation for your orders!

It is these bottles with slight external defects that we present to you in the "Existe en imparfaite" selection. These bottles are, of course, of "irreproachable" gustatory quality, but suffer from slight defects on the label or cap. We therefore offer them at a preferential price, making the pleasure of tasting them even more affordable.
