The Domaine Hubert Lamy is a highly reputed Domaine from Burgundy, located on Côte de Beaune at Saint-Aubin. An essential reference, it was created in 1973 by Hubert Lamy, then owner of 8 hectares of vines at Saint-Aubin.
Today, Domaine is run by Hubert's son Olivier, and has grown significantly, comprising 18 hectares of vines spread over the Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay appellations.
Olivier, renowned for his rigorous and innovative approach, focuses on environmentally-friendly viticulture to express the full complexity of Bourgogne's climates. The result is wines of great purity that perfectly express their exceptional terroir.
The wine reveals an expressive, delicate nose with notes of citrus fruit and white flowers. Pear and green apple add complexity after a few Sec rounds of aeration. There are also hints of vanilla, butter and brioche, a sign of barrel ageing. On the palate, a lively attack gives way to a fine minerality. Tension continues throughout, underlining aromas of white-fleshed fruit. The finish is marked by notes of graphite and a very pleasant salivating sensation.
