The Domaine Hubert Lamy is a highly reputed Domaine from Burgundy, located on Côte de Beaune at Saint-Aubin. An essential reference, it was created in 1973 by Hubert Lamy, then owner of 8 hectares of vines at Saint-Aubin.
Today, Domaine is run by Hubert's son Olivier, and has grown significantly, comprising 18 hectares of vines spread over the Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay appellations.
Olivier, renowned for his rigorous and innovative approach, focuses on environmentally-friendly viticulture to express the full complexity of Bourgogne's climates. The result is wines of great purity that perfectly express their exceptional terroir.
A superb garnet-red color, the wine offers a light, floral nose with notes of rose, violet and iris. This is followed by notes of fresh fruit and spices such as white pepper and cardamom. On the palate, it is greedy, with a relatively soft attack. The tannins are well-balanced, with a pleasant chalky texture. The aromas of the nose come through on the palate, carrying us through to a delicate, particularly long finish.
