The Domaine Hubert Lamy is a highly reputed Domaine from Burgundy, located on Côte de Beaune at Saint-Aubin. An essential reference, it was created in 1973 by Hubert Lamy, then owner of 8 hectares of vines at Saint-Aubin.
Today, Domaine is run by Hubert's son Olivier, and has grown significantly, comprising 18 hectares of vines spread over the Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay appellations.
Olivier, renowned for his rigorous and innovative approach, focuses on environmentally-friendly viticulture to express the full complexity of Bourgogne's climates. The result is wines of great purity that perfectly express their exceptional terroir.
The wine appears in the glass with a brilliant crimson color. The nose is expressive and beautifully pure, revealing crunchy red fruit as well as hints of black berries and licorice. On the palate, the fresh attack is followed by a full, greedy body. The tannic structure is fine and perfectly chiselled, beautifully underlining the fruity aromas. A hint of smoke lingers on the finish for a few minutes.
