Littlemill

Founded in 1772, Littlemill is recognized as Scotland's oldest legal distillery, located on the border between the Lowlands and the Highlands. Its rich history, unique distillation techniques, and iconic whiskies make it a legend among single malt enthusiasts.

History and highlights

Littlemill began on the site of a brewery dating back to the 1750s, before obtaining its official license in 1773, becoming Scotland's first legal distillery. Its history has been marked by many twists and turns: rebuilt in 1875, it has been closed and reopened several times, notably in 1931 under the leadership of Duncan Thomas, an innovative American. In 1994, the distillery closed its doors for good, but its stocks continue to be bottled by Loch Lomond Distillery, offering limited editions that are highly sought after by collectors.

  • Pure water from the Kilpatrick Hills, giving... See more ...

The care we take when receiving wines in our cellars enables us to detect bottles with imperfections (dirty or faded labels, damaged capsules, etc.). In such cases, they are systematically set aside and never put online! Our preparation team selects only bottles with perfect presentation for your orders!

It is these bottles with slight external defects that we present to you in the "Existe en imparfaite" selection. These bottles are, of course, of "irreproachable" gustatory quality, but suffer from slight defects on the label or cap. We therefore offer them at a preferential price, making the pleasure of tasting them even more affordable.
