"Great Cognacs, in the purest expression of their terroir of origin"
Produced exclusively from the 1995 harvest, the Delamain 1995 vintage is a Cognac Rare, made from eaux-de-vie from a single vineyard located in Ambleville, in the heart of the Grande Champagne, Premier Cru of the Cognac. This terroir, renowned for its rich limestone content, gives the brandy exceptional finesse and ageing potential.
The 1995 vintage was marked by generous sunshine and ideal climatic conditions, producing a wine with great acidity, the perfect basis for slow, complex ageing.
This Cognac has aged for almost 30 years in old oak barrels, first in the original cellar in Ambleville, then in the Millésimé cellar of Delamain in Jarnac, under the strict control of the BNIC. This process guarantees the authenticity of the vintage and its preservation in optimal conditions. The natural humidity of the cellar, combined with a low evaporation rate, has favored remarkable aromatic concentration, without the addition of sugar or colorants.
On the nose, ripe fig, candied quince and lime blossom intertwine with darker notes of dark chocolate and supple leather.
On the palate, the attack is full and silky, carried by flavors of very ripe cherry, a touch of menthol that adds freshness, and a subtly spicy finish of white pepper. The whole is structured, balanced and extremely elegant.
Aged according to the strictest traditions, the 1995 vintage of Delamain is a deep, refined Cognac of character, designed for connoisseurs seeking a pure expression of the Grande Champagne terroir. Limited to just 800 bottles, it embodies a precious Rareté, offered at a recommended retail price of €485, to be enjoyed slowly, with care.
