Description Ragnaud Sabourin 1992.
An Cognac made exclusively from grapes from the 1992 harvest, a good year in the Cognac region. The traditional Ugni-Blanc is blended with 10% Folle Blanche, a grape variety increasingly Rare because of its low yield and more capricious cultivation. The latter gives the blend a natural acidity that enhances the delicate notes of the Grande Champagne terroir, the prestigious Premier Cru from which the grapes for this Cognac are grown.
House Ragnaud Sabourin distills on lees, giving their eaux-de-vie great smoothness and rich, complex aromas.
This 1992 vintage has a beautiful, intense amber color. On the nose, the aromatic palette is floral and sweet, with notes of acacia, candied fruit and spices. The palate is full and fruity, with aromas of vanilla, apricot Sec and candied orange. A few spicy notes evoke nutmeg and cinnamon. Toasty aromas emerge on the finish, in an intense, rich and very gourmet whole. A flawless harmony for this magnificent Cognac d'auteur.
