The first traces of house Guillon-Painturaud can be found in archives dated 1610.
This winegrowers' house is located in Segonzac in the heart of the Grande Champagne, Premier Cru of the Cognac Region. The vineyard occupies an area of 18 ha exclusively in Grande Champagne around Segonzac, capital of the Grande Champagne.
In 2023, Guillon-Painturaud launched an exclusive range of Cognacs Brut de Fût, brandies taken directly from the barrel and therefore without dilution, or any addition of sugar or coloring. These limited editions, promising Rare quality and excellence, will be available sporadically throughout the year. A real treasure hunt for lovers of the genre!
This 1996 vintage belongs to the very Rare category of single cask, Cognacs made from a single barrel. It is an extremely limited edition of just 109 bottles. The grapes that gave birth to it come from the prestigious Cognac terroir of Grande Champagne 1er Cru.
The nose is very expressive and gourmand, with notes of cocoa, cinnamon and spices Rares. On the palate, the wine is dense and complex. A supple, round Cognac, the alcohol melts beautifully despite the high degree. This marvellous Brut de Fût with its long, racy finish will be the perfect companion to a fine dark chocolate.
